Dear Dr. Rankin: `
I was not greatly surprlsed`but very much pleased to
learn of the action of the House of Delegates in making you
Presldent—Elect. Unfortunately I had to leave Cleveland
Wednesday afternoon so did not hear the result until a few
days later and since then I have been very busy with
Commencement, etc. I may be a little late therefore but wish ‘
to extend my hearty congratulations and feel that this is a
well-merited honor.
With very best wishes,
. Cordially yours,
Dean,College of Medicine
