I 2
‘ from getting killed. They would ask ue to hush talking
I when I would be standing around talking; I had to flash my
pistol in their faces to save our lives. They said because
I wouldn't_talk I was a stool pigeon, and they d1dn’t have
any use for a man like me. They told me I would be carrying
I a gun for Uncle Sam before long and when they saw me carrying
it for him that it for him that it would be toc bad for me.
I told them I had one of those guns 1n my pocket then. I was
always under a guard of from 8 to lO and never allowed to go
out by myself, We couldn't live on the l4¢ a day each they
allowed us and one day we got so hungry I went out, slipped
off and solicited something to eat; theyzfollowed me and
told me to come to the office and.told me not to do that any
more that I had to live on the l4¢ a day they were giving me.
They said that this was the reason they wasn't
A organized today that they ought to take every God Damned
Church in the United States and throw it in the Lake, that
was the reasonthey wasn't organized ani better to day; they
l were going to mobolize a crowd to do that. Then they said
we can get out people together and organize better and if you
I were in Russia if yon named Church or Jesus Christ you wouldn't
live a minute today, and you can see that Heaven is there and
Hell is here doday. _
They said they ought to come down here s d bring
a mob and get these prisoners out of jail. ,
