Robey Explodes
For 36 In 122-74 Win
Junior Rick Robey exploded for 36 points and 19 rebounds to pace the White team to a 122-74 victory over the Blue team November 17, during Kentucky's third public scrimmage.
Larry Johnson, the fireball senior guard, gave Robey more than adequate help in the scoring department with 20 points and six assists in a contest played before a packed house of 7,400 fans at Pulaski County High School.
The White team hit an amazing 62.1 percent from the floor, canning 54 of 87 tries.
Jay Shidler, the freshman whiz from Illinois, gave another sparkling performance and improved his blue chip stock for a starting assignment against Wisconsin in the season Opener November 27.
All Shidler did to earn the attention of Coach Joe B. Hall was to clip the nets for 16 points on seven of eleven from the field and five assists.
Heading the Blue effort were Mike Phillips and Kyle Macy with 14 points each while Tim Stephens had 13
points, Jack Givens 11 and La Von Williams 10.
Actually, Givens, Williams, and Phillips turned in superb exhibitions. All three played on both teams. Givens scored 28 points for the night while Williams racked up 23 points and 12 rebounds. Phillips had his usual great night with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
The White team built up a 58-33 halftime lead before Coach Hall switched Williams and Givens to the Blue team in the second half.
James Lee, who is sidelined with a fractured finger, saw limited action and scored 6 points on three of four from the field.
"I just wanted to get him in there and let him see some action," said Hall of Lee's showing, "I think it was important to let him get the feel of things."
Lee, who was still wearing the make-shift bandaged cast, is a doubtful starter for the home opener Saturday night when the Cats host Wisconsin of the Big Ten Conference.

Who are the pro scouts asking about when the visit the University of Kentucky campus?
The names most frequently mentioned are Warren Bryant, Randy Burke, Greg Woods and Charlie Dickerson according to one official who usually ends up talking with the scouts.
What do the scouts ask most about a
future pro athlete?
Things like, "what's the player's attitude off the field?" "does he have a good relationship with other teammates?" "does he attend class?" and "does he have a goal in life?"
One could imagine a big company executive to seek answers of identical questions from anyone desiring employment in this day and age.
How to get up to 58 miles on a dollar's worth of fuel!
Only a few cars in America can do it. And only one of them is a good-sized luxury car: The Peugeot 504 Diesel.
It runs on fuel that generally costs several cents a gallon less than gasoline (although exactly what it costs depends on exactly where you buy it). And it gets 35 mpg on the highway and 27 mpg in the city.** So if you do a lot of driving, the Peugeot Diesel sedan or wagonmay be just the car for you.
PEUGEOT
A different kind of luxury car.
*58 mile figure based on national average of 52? a gallon for diesel fuel and average EPA dry and highway test results. **1976 EPA estimates. Actual mileage depends on where and how you drive, maintenance, optional equipment and othei variables.
