- It is believed that the churches still hold the original records. These are microfilm copies of records of the First and Second Presbyterian churches in Danville, Ky. The collection contains church and sessional records (primarily minutes) for both institutions. The records note membership changes, church business, and the elections of pastors and elders. The records for the First Presbyterian Church date from 1827-1839, and from 1852-1868. The records for the Second Presbyterian Church date from 1858-1915, and from 1937-1951.
UK Libraries Special Collections Research Center is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm. Appointments are encouraged but not required. Schedule an appointment here.
