· UK INFO EXPO THIS WEEK
Don't forget to visit the Info Expo exhibit of electronic
information and communication resources being held this week in
the Ballroom of the Student Center. The exhibit is open Thurs-
day, October 26 from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and Friday, October
27 from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. A LAPTOP computer and other
prizes will be given away through a drawing to be held at 3:00
P.M. on Friday. Also, many exhibitors will have free items to
distribute at their booths.
Services and products will be displayed that can benefit faculty
. and students in pursuing educational and research goals. UK
exhibits will include demonstrations of computerized literature
searching, bulletin board systems, CD—interactive video, CD—ROM, 0
I Voicemail, computer—generated graphics, and access to unique
databases. Products and services of the following companies will
also be displayed: IBM, PRIME, Zenith, Businessland, Datastream,
Online Information International, University Microfilms, and
others.
KLA ACADEMIC SECTION SEEKS COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS
The Kentucky Library Association/Academic Section (ALS) is
