Collection Overview
- Biography / History
- The Couzine family originally settled on Long Island and in New Jersey. Later generations were associated with the Old Mud Meeting House in Mercer County, Kentucky.
- Scope and Content
- The collection consists of a vellum record of the birth, deaths, and marriages of the Couzine and Smock families. The back of the document is a fragment of an eighteenth century legal document recording the sale of four lots to John Godman and Thomas Stevenson by Joshua Crosby and Charles Hill.
