Collection Overview

Biography / History
The Couzine family originally settled on Long Island and in New Jersey. Later generations were associated with the Old Mud Meeting House in Mercer County, Kentucky.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of a vellum record of the birth, deaths, and marriages of the Couzine and Smock families. The back of the document is a fragment of an eighteenth century legal document recording the sale of four lots to John Godman and Thomas Stevenson by Joshua Crosby and Charles Hill.
