- Scope and Content
- The Bourbon Academy minute book (dated 1799-1855; 0.23; 1 box) consists of one book and loose pages outlining meetings held by the Bourbon Academy Board of Trustees. The vast majority of entries begin with the date, location, and names of the members attending each meeting. Common topics include the employment of new teachers or school staff and the hiring/promotion of members of the board. Occasionally, the minute book outlines new policies for the academy, such as whether or not parents have say in which teacher their child has or what time the school day should consistently start and end.
