Louisa Galbraith (1842-1921) was the daughter of Hiram (?-1848) and Letitia Collins Galbraith (age 67 in 1870 census), who were married June 14, 1834 in Bracken County, Kentucky. Letitia was Hiram's second wife. His first wife was Elizabeth Rankin of Mason County, Kentucky; they were married on August 31, 1822 and had 2 children: William Rankin Galbraith (married Matilda Jett in 1844) and Joseph Lafayette Galbraith (married Lydia Holliday). Hiram and his second wife, Letitia Galbraith, had five children: Margaret Galbraith (married Joseph Allen who was in the Civil War); John Galbraith (married Sarah E. Parker); Louisa Galbraith (married George Marshall Galbraith); Matilda Galbraith (married George L. - George Marshall Galbraith and Louisa Galbraith were married on September 28, 1858 in Bracken County, Kentucky; they were first cousins. Most of the photographs in this collection belonged to their daughter, Frances Galbraith, and are Galbraith family members.
