Josephus E. Robbins was an attorney in Mayfield, Kentucky and served as the Graves County Court Judge from 1886 to 1890.
Scope and Content
The Josephus E. Robbins collection consists of financial material belonging to Josephus E. Robbins and includes city, county, and state tax receipts; insurance policies, bills and premiums, leases, promissory notes, completed Federal income tax forms (Form 1040) from the years 1917,1918,1922 and 1924 and agreements establishing various law partnerships. Included is Judge Robbins' refutation of the allegations contained in Caleb Powers' motion in which Powers, the defendant, states that Judge Robbins would not be an impartial judge in the case of Caleb Powers vs. Commonwealth of Kentucky. Josephus E. Robbins was an attorney in Mayfield, Kentucky and served as the Graves County Court Judge from 1886 to 1890.
