- Biography / History
- Benjamin Franklin Goode (1831-1914), son of state legislator Lorenzo Dow Goode, was a farmer and businessman in Turnersville, Kentucky. He owned the general store, the blacksmith shop, and both toll gates at Turnersville. He was not involved in the toll road company, the Turnersville, McKinney Station and Coffey's Mill Turnpike.

- The Benjamin F. Goode record books (dated 1866-1896; 0.68 cubic feet; 2 boxes) primarily comprise toll gate record books for the toll gates at Turnersville, Kentucky. The record books document who came through the gate, their mode of transportation, and how much they paid. Additionally, the collection includes one of Benjamin F. Goode's personal account books and a ledger for the Turnersville blacksmith shop.
