Biography / History
Katherine Graham Peden (1926–2006) held several appointed positions in both Kentucky state government and at the national level under the Kennedy, Johnson, and Carter Presidential administrations during the 1960s and 1970s. Peden won the Democratic Primary for the Kentucky United States Senate seat in 1968, ultimately losing to her Republican opponent Marlow Cook in the general election.

The Katherine Peden campaign film (dated 1968 November; 1 cubic feet; 1 item) consists of a campaign film for Katherine Peden's run for Kentucky United States Senate in 1968. The film was to be aired on November 4th, the night before the election. In the film, Peden relates her personal and professional biography as well as her goals and policies for service in the Senate.
