Collection Overview

Biography / History
Author Isabel McLennan McMeekin (1895-1973) was born in Louisville and educated at Westover School in Middlebury, Connecticut, and the University of Chicago. In 1921, she married Samuel H. McMeekin. Isabel wrote historical fiction with co-author Dorothy Park Clark under the pseudonym Clark McMeekin between 1940 and 1961. Their joint works include Show me a Land and City of the Flages. However, they both wrote under their own names; Isabel produced a variety of literary work, including mysteries, short stories, poetry, and children's literature during her lifetime.
