George's Branch: a tributary of the North Fork of the Kentucky
Rivers and about sixteen miles above Jacksofl, Kentucky, on tha
south side of the Kentucky river from the line of tne Lexington
& Eastern Railway Company bed® Denies that it or its hands or
servants or employee or others working upde: them; or any one
by their consent or direction; while in the course of their 5
duty or work in the construction of the defendant’s railroad é
bed at the point alleged in the petition; wrongfully, unlaw— 7
fully or carelessly or recklessly or violently or at all, blew

For further answer to the amended petition, defendbnt
denies knowledge or information sufficient to form a belief
that the plaintiffs or any of them are the owners or in the
actual possession of a tract of land on the same side of the
Kentucky River as that attempted to be described by them in
their original petition; denies that same extends from the
mouth of George's Branch several hundred yards or any disaance
up said river on the south side of same to the upper end of a I

' bottom or to a point where the defendant has constructed a
railroad bridge over the Kentucky River. Denies that the de—
fendant, its hands, or agents or employee, or any men working
under it, in the construction of the railroad bridge across
said river or otherwise, unlawfully or wrongfully or at all,
blasted or blew or otherwise removed large or any rocks or an
enormous or any amount of waste material into said Kentucky‘
Rivery or thereby formed an embankment extending into said
river from.the north side of samea renies that the defendant
as referred to in said amended petition or any of its a Santa

large piers or any piers for the above named bridge, and de~
