thoughtfulness shown them through the giving of such a plentiful
basket of food. The money that was donated bought a nice ham and this
was taken along with the basket. ~

The Public Safety Division would appreciate our cooperation in
observing the following precautions for Christmas decorations in the
library:
1. All decorations, including Christmas trees, must be U.L. approved
non-combustible artificial decorations.
2. Decorations shall be arranged in a manner not to obstruct exits,
lighting, or corridors.
3. Dc not use open flame such as candles. No smoking permitted »
around decorations. Provide ash trays in safe areas.
4. If a fire strikes, evacuate the building and dial 333 (off campus
dial 255-6666).
5. All decorations in campus buildings should be removed prior to the
holiday vacation.

Gary Beach of the Public Safety Division will speak to the staff again
on Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 9:30 - 11:00 in Rm. 504 (Old Rare Book Room).
All staff, especially those who missed Mr. Beach's presentation earher
this year, are urged to attend.
