- Scope and Content
- These are the microfilm records of the Union Christian Church in Hodgenville, Ky., July 6, 1844 to November 5, 1949. The materials are composed of three volumes, each an individual record book. Volume 1 is a book of minutes and registers (July 6, 1844-May 6, 1849) with lists of members divided by male and female, with some notes on deaths, baptisms and marriages. Volume 2 (February 23, 1939-October 29, 1967) is a notebook containing a typescript copy of alphabetical membership lists and a brief church history. The final volume is a church record book (1894-1949), listing church officers, members in alphabetical sequence and a letter addressed to church members (November 5, 1949) from a church missionary, Imogene Williams. Also laid into this volume are pages of another church record book (July 23, 1927-December 20, 1936) including church board minutes, lists of officers, financial records and a cemetary record.
