- Philip Swigert (1793 or 1799-1871) served as mayor of Frankfort, Kentucky for more than twenty years. His wife was Jane L. Swigert (ca. 1805-1890) and his sister was Mary Swigert Hendrick. She was married to the Reverend J. H. Swigert.
- Scope and Content
- This collection consists primarily of funeral announcements and newspaper clippings about members of the Swigert family of Frankfort, Kentucky. Obituaries and clippings relate to Frankfort mayor, Philip Swigert and members of his family. There are also clippings about Philip Slater Fall (1798- 1890), pastor of the First Christian Church in Frankfort. There is also a program from the Franklin County, Kentucky Fair (1963).
