Biography / History
Lawyer, judge, politician. James H. Polsgrove was elected Franklin County (Ky.) attorney in 1894 and 1897; he served as county judge from 1901 to 1909, and was elected mayor of Frankfort, Ky. in 1910. He was elected county judge again in 1924 and 1928.
Scope and Content
These are five scrapbooks and some miscellaneous papers collected by James H. Polsgrove. The scrapbooks contain clippings about political events, particularly in Franklin County, Ky. in the 1890's and early 1900's. Many of the clippings concern Judge Polsgrove's career.
