"UK's Radio Tower Dressed Up For Holiday's--The University of Kentucky's 148-foot radio tower, located near McVey Hall, is being painted this week by the R. F. Burton Tower Construction Company. Painters had completed about half the assignment yesterday (Friday). Pictured here are Homer Burton and Eldon Burton, both of Lexington. The University's Division of Maintenance and Operations has awarded the painting contract to the local firm because the hazardous nature of the work requires specialists skilled in high altitude painting."
