GHEETINGS
The University opens its doors again to
the students of Kentucky; some of whom
are here for the first time and some for
their last year. Each one starts his work
with high hopes and determination to do
his best. May such an ambition carry
< through the year and animate every stu-
I dent in the University.
The Y. M. C. A. represents a definite
E religious attitude toward student life and
1 it can be and is of assistance to many
l students in the matter of high motives
I and noble ambitions. It keeps alive reli-
gious purpose and the students of the
  University should be affiliated with and
related to it in a definite way. The Y. M.
C A. on the other hand hopes to be really
helpful to the student body of the Univer- F
` sity. It welcomes, therefore, all of the -}
Q studen·ts to membership and it is the hope E
of the board of directors and the Univer- `
sity that those who are here for the first `
time as well as those who have been here `—
I in past years will show their devotion
i and interest. {
