VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR LIBRARY TOURS
Library staff and faculty are needed to volunteers to lead tours of the
library for new students. The tours are scheduled for September 7,8 and 9 at
10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. The tour length is normally 45 minutes to one hour.
Any one interested in volunteering should get in touch with Adil Razeeq in
the Reference Department or call him at 7-1631.
` A LC SUBJECT HEADINGS
The Reference Department has received its copies of the new 11th edition
of the Library of Congress Subject Headings. Some two—volume sets of the 10th
edition are available on a first—come—first served basis-to any branch or
department wanting a copy. Call Judy Sackett at 7+1830 for more information
or to reserve your copy. `
FIRE ALARM TEST
Eire alarms will be tested in King North and South on Tuesday, September¤
46, between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m.
UK SATURDAY SEMINARS
Two programs will kick off the 1988 series of UK Saturday Seminars on
September 3. The College of Agriculture will present three informal seminars:
one on heirloom vegetable gardening at the Landscape Garden Center; a second
in on insects of the home, lawn, and garden, at Seay Auditorhmm and a third on
· the selection, taste analysis and use of retail cheese to be held in the E. S.
Good Barn. The three seminars will run from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
