- CORRECTION from last Green Bean. This is not the regular LSO picnic normally
held in June. It is sponsored by the Super Gnomes and a heterogeneous
collection from the Rest of the Library.
The hearty invitation is extended to all.
BBC Film
The videotape of the BBC film on the Library of Congress will be shown on
Wednesday May 16 at 11:00-1:30 in the Gallery. Those who saw it on TV
will agree that it is worth watching once, and twice, and so on.
ACTS acts V "
T The ACTS Education Committee is sponsoring a tour of the Law Library on
May 17, at 2:00 pm. The Law Library is located next to Memorial Hall in
V the Law building. If you have any questions, call Olivia Buckner at

AIDS/Media Extended Hours - Extended
The AIDS/Media room will be open until 2:00 am through Friday, May ll.
There will be access to rescue materials via the Circulation Desk; however,
the stacks and other library departments will be closed off.
The front Library doors will be locked at midnight. To enter the library,
use the side door to the AIDS/Media Room.

As Program Leader
On Friday May 18, DR. DICKINSON will be at the Spring Conference of the
Eastern New York Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries.
At the morning session he will talk about collection development and present
an invited paper on faculty involvement in the process. He will lead the
discussion on the reactions of the audience in the afternoon.
Library Fauclty Nominating Committee Report - Reminder
At the next meeting of the Library Facutly May 18, members will be asked to
select a representative to fill the unexpired term of Susan Csaky on the
Administrative Committee. Before they do so, they will be asked to decide
whether the one selected will serve merely the summer months or the following
year since this one is almost completed.
