- The collection was donated to the University of Kentucky Archives in 1982 by an individual known only as Mrs. Victor Hammer. No other information can be made available.
- Scope and Content
- The Hammer Family Photographic Collection, ca. 1860-1900 consists of ten images donated by an individual identified only as Mrs. Victor Hammer. Seven of the images are commercially produced albumen cartes-de-visite of Confederate military and political figures. The remaining three images feature vacationers at Camp Natural Bridge, a recreation area near Natural Bridge, Kentucky
