- This is a journal kept by Joseph A. Sweeney on a journey through Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois and Missouri (1820-1821), and an accounts ledger (1820-1827). Sweeney's journal entries are brief and contain abbreviated descriptions of his journey. A chart of mileage from place to place, as well as some of his poetry, is included.
