- The church was founded in 1834 and is the root of several other Methodist congregations in the Jackson Purchase region of Kentucky. Its most famous member was U.S. Senator and Vice-President Alben W. Barkley.

- These are microfilmed records of Broadway Methodist church in Paducah, Ky. The records include church registers, Sunday school records, financial records, registers of baptisms and marriages, building fund subscription lists, and conference records.
