- Biography / History
- Before his death in 2002, Dr. Robert Cazden was a Prof. Emeritus of Library Science at the University of Kentucky who also specialized in the history of printing and publishing. His research into the history of the German-American book trade resulted in two major works: Social History of the German Book Trade in America to the Civil War (Columbia, South Carolina: Camden Books, 1984), and German Exile Literature in America, 1933-1950: A History of the Free German Press and Book Trade (Chicago: American Library Association, 1970).

- Scope and Content
- The material included in this collection consists of five items: a sheet of white supremacist propaganda distributed on the campus of San Francisco State College by the National Socialist White People's Party, a picket-line letter from the AFT, a B.S.U. meeting flyer, and a letter from the Academic Senate ad hoc Committee concerning the educational issues which caused the student strike. There is also a short, typed note from Ann Greer, a librarian at San Francisco State College, to Dr. Robert Cazden.
