Biography / History
Journalist John Howard Henderson was a native of Ballard County, Kentucky. He served on the staff of the Louisville Courier-Journal from 1923 until his death in 1945. From 1926 to 1940 he was chief of the Courier-Journal news bureau at Frankfort, Kentucky.
Scope and Content
The John Howard Henderson papers consist of two letters to Henderson and a draft of an editorial. The 1939 letter discusses Henderson's relationship with the newspaper, while the 1944 letter was sent to Henderson by a reader.
