Family from Nelson County, Ky.
Scope and Content
The papers contain letters, receipts, and other materials of the Murray family. The materials include deeds, legal papers and letters concerning family affairs. Among the latter are several from Nashville Tennessee, written during the Civil War. Many of these concern the death of Corilla Murray's brother (unnamed) from complications of battle wounds. Dorcas and John Murray's wills and James Murray's receipts and a land survey are examples of some of the materials contained in the papers.
