_ Cucumber Tree (Magnolia acuminata).—A large tree, sixty to V _
 _ eighty feet high, occurring thruout the State from eastern to west-  
` ern boundaries. Leaves small relatively to those of the next two B ,
. species, measuring in a specimen before me eleven and a half inches g
_ long by seven inches wide; shape, oval. The flower also is small, ·  
i the petals one and a half to two inches long. _ E L
