Fleck and his band have been touring
since the start of the year, when they trav—
eled .NIongolia, ( hina, Korea and Indone—
sia. The musical intuitiveness of the group
led seVeral indigenous artists to join them
for performances with case. More recenth,
Fleck jammed with SaturdaV Night live
band leader G. F. Smith on the April 15
show.

NN’orldly and wise, Fleck has learned
much from his last two \N’arner Records
releases.

“I think Three I’leu' Over The (,‘111‘Icoo'i'
Next was interesting for us because there's
more technique involved but at the same
time it’s more intimate," Fleck said to
NN’arner. “\N'e brought in tools Ind more
electronics but we used them In as organic
a fashion as possible."

T he album like most ofthe band‘s work,
contains influences from iI7z, funk blue-
