FOREWORD

The KENTUCKY SCHOOL DIRECTORY is published annually by the
Department of Education as a service for Kentucky educators and others

interested in Kentucky schools.

We hope you will find our new and improved 1977-78 edition more usable.
The size is larger than past editions in order to make the computer pages in
Section II and 111 more readable. Two new listings in the yellow pages have been
added to give quick references to department personnel and programs.

Because the directory is out earlier this year, personnel changes made in the
local school districts after August 1 are not shown. The number of teachers in
each school and the number of pupils enrolled are based on estimates for the

1977-78 school year.
