- The Marks Coal Company was organized in 1907 by J.W. and Nancy Marks and J.V. and Renie Poole, who were also the only stockholders. The company was located in Webster County, Kentucky.
- Scope and Content
- The Marks Coal Company records (dated 1907-1908, undated; 0.23 cubic feet; 1 box) contain minutes and financial records for the company. There are three volumes in the collection, one of which contains minutes of board of directors' meetings, another which contains minutes of stockholders' meetings and copies of the company's articles of incorporation and bylaws, and a company checkbook.
