- Scope and Content
- The William Jason Fields scrapbook (dated 1911-1923; 0.6 cubic feet; 1 box, 1 item) contains materials he collected during his years in the United States House of Representatives. The scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, printed booklets and a small amount of correspondence, most of it dealing with issues then before Congress. Included are several articles in favor of prohibition of the sale of alcoholic beverages, items both in favor of and opposing woman suffrage, and clippings from 1915 and 1916 opposing American intervention in World War I.
- Processing Info
- During digitization loose items were removed from the scrapbook, sleeved, and placed in a separate box. The sleeves note the page numbers where the item was originally kept. The loose items were digitized in place.
