- Biography / History
- Jim Gray (1953-) served as vice mayor, under Mayor Jim Newberry, of Lexington, Kentucky from 2006 to 2010. On November 2, 2010, he defeated in incumbent Mayor Jim Newberry to become Lexington's first openly gay mayor. He served two consecutive terms, from 2011 – 2018. Gray's administration focused on urban development, which included the expansion of high-speed internet availability, the creation of an affordable housing fund and investment into new infrastructure to enticement new professionals to Lexington.
