Biography / History
The Winchester & Lexington Turnpike road ran between Winchester and Lexington. The Winchester & Lexington Turnpike Road Company was incorporated by the Kentucky Legislature in 1830.
Acts Passed at the First Session of the Thirty-Eighth General Assembly for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Frankfort, Ky: J. G. Dana and A. G. Hodges, 1830.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of one broadside, entitled "Rates of Toll on the Winchester & Lexington Turnpike Road", explaining the specific tolls for different vehicles and animals.
