- Biography / History
- James W. Cluke was a farmer and business man from Caldwell County, Kentucky. He conducted business in New Orleans, Nashville, Louisville and Montgomery County, Kentucky. He was married to Anne Mason. Roy Stuart Cluke was a commissioned Colonel of the 8th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry CSA, in September 1862.
- Scope and Content
- The James W. Cluke papers contain the financial records, correspondence, and daily business of James W. Cluke and family. The collection contains a picture of Colonel R.S. Cluke as well as a uniform epaulet. The financial records consist of receipts, account books, and checks. A property map for C.A. Cluke is also held in this collection.
