Collection Overview

Biography / History
Esther Bennett lived in Richmond, Kentucky, at White Hall, the home built for Cassius Clay, Esther's great-grandfather. Helen Bennett is the great-grandmother of Esther Bennet.
Scope and Content
The Bennett papers contain diaries written by Helen Bennett, and a letter written to Esther Bennett. The diaries span 1901 to 1953. The collection also contains a notebook that has quotes and recipes written in it. The letter included was written by Mrs. Warfield Clay Bennett to Esther Bennett along with a sorority magazine that contains an article about Esther Bennett and her home, White Hall.
