”1 don't want you to forget the sociaI tomorrow from 4:00 to
6:00 p.m. It is in the AIumni House, and I hope that as many of
you as possibIe wiII be there with your spouses and/or friends.

The next meeting wiII be Februrary I4.

For those of you who may not know, there is an organization
in Kentucky made up of Senate CounciI Chairmen and one other
member of the Senate or the Senate CounciI which is caIIed the
Congress of Senate FacuIty Leaders. It has been in existence
since I979 and aII the other universities in the State have been
participating in the procedures of COSFL, which is what it is
known as, except for the University of Kentucky. We have been
represented in an unofficiaI capacity by PauI Oberst, and those
oId timers among you wiII know who PauI is. He is former Board
of Trustees member, former President of AAUP, an ex facuIty mem—
ber from the CoIIege of Law and probany if anybody couId be
caIIed Mr. FacuIty at UK it wouId be PauI Oberst. He has been
