- Biography / History
- In accordance with a document from then-governor of Virginia Patrick Henry, John Selser was granted 750 acres of local land in 1786. A land survey from September 1783 had determined the size of this particular land parcel.
- Scope and Content
- The John Selser papers contain two pieces of correspondence and a land survey map. One of the letters is dated 1834 and is a copy of a 1786 document, signed by Virginia governor Patrick Henry, granting 750 acres of local land to John Selser. Additionally, the map is located in an oversized box.
