- The Bullock family lived in or around Covington, Kentucky, through the nineteenth century. John R. Bullock was the father of William Rice Bullock, a prominent figure in the Bullock family papers, and L.E. Bullock, who spent time in St. Louis, Missouri. George W. Williams, a friend of William R. Bullock, was also from Covington.
- Scope and Content
- The Bullock family papers (dated 1812-1908; 0.9 cubic feet; 2 boxes) consist of court records, accounts, tax statements, correspondence, and notes, which document the Bullock family of Kenton County, Kentucky. The series of General family papers pertain to the Bullock family and contain correspondence, court orders, and account statements. Most of the material deals with Mason County. The William R. Bullock papers documents his experiences during the Civil War. Items of note include the correspondence of George W. Williams while a prisoner of war at Camp Morton in Indiana (Box 2, Folder 4).

Scope and Contents note
The General family papers series consists of correspondence, financial information, and court orders arranged chronologically. Much of it deals with Mason County, Ky. The folder of tax information (Box 2, Folder 3) deals with the Clayton family of Covington, Ky.
William R. Bullock papers, 1852-1908
Scope and Contents note
William R. Bullock papers series consists of correspondence written to Bullock, including letters written by George W. Williams as a prisoner in a Civil War prison camp in Indiana (Box 2, Folder 4). Williams comments on the Battle of Fort Donaldson and the good treatment of the Confederate prisoners by the Union officers. In letters written after the Civil War from Richmond, Virginia, Williams discusses the political climate in that city and the impoverished state of many residents, including himself and his family.
