- Biography / History
- Minister John Allen Gano (1805-1887) was born in Georgetown, Kentucky. His father was a merchant and his grandfather served as a chaplain with the American Army during the Revolutionary War. Gano became a minister in the newly-formed Disciples of Christ Church. Gano also imported Short Horn Cattle.
- Scope and Content
- The collection consists of a broadside entitled "A List of Pedigrees of Improved Pure Short Horn Cattle, belonging to John A. Gano, near Centreville, Bourbon County, Ky."
