FOREWORD

The Department of Education publishes the “Kentucky School
Directory” as a service to the people of the Commonwealth and to
others who are interested in the schools of Kentucky.

Appreciation is expressed to public and non-public school super-
intendents and other officials for the provision of data for this
Bulletin.

The 1968-64 publication lists all public and non-public elemen<
tary and secondary schools, regardless of the number of teachers in
those schools. Also it offers a district-by-district listing of administra-
tive and supervisory personnel, including chairmen of boards of edu-
cation. The membership figure is the number of pupils in school at
the end of the first month.

Although the production of this edition of the “Directory” was
supervised by the Division of Statistical Services, acknowledgment
is due to professional staff members and employees of several di-
visions of the Department for the application of their special skills
and for their personal interest in the successful completion of this
project.

Superintendent of Public Instruction
