To THE STOCKHOLDERS:

' Mr. C. B. France, President of this association, died on
August 30th, 1895, and at a regular meeting of the directors
held on September 17th, 134.95, Mr. lCrnest Lindsay was elected
President to fill the vacancy, and Mr. J. H. Robison, one Of the
leading merchants of St. Joseph, was appointed to fill the
vacancy in the directory.

At the same meeting a dividend of live per cent was
declared, payable October Ist, 1895, from the assets of the
association retired at the time of the reduction of the Capital
Stock. Collections for this fund are encouraging, and indicate
that another like dividend may he expected at an early day.

We have your letter of September 24th and thank you for
your good wishes for the State National Bank under the new manage—
ment. You may rest assured that we will do all we can to make
the stock of this Bank dividend paying.

You have notice of a dividend from retired assets payable
October lst, and you may expect a similar payment from the same
fund on January lst, 1896.

We have a considerable amount of undivided profits which will
be reduced somewhat by some probable losses, taxes &c, but we -
hope to be able to pay a dividend from active stock January lst
in addition to the special dividend mentioned above.

I am always pleased to give the stockholders any informa—
tion relating to the business of the Bank.
