Gentlemen:—
Your letter reached me the day I arrived.home and I was surprised
'- to receive it. I left here last spring not very well, and they promised to
ship your things to yin, and I though of course that had been done. I came
“right down here and will get those things together to-morrow and ship them to
you. I had not sold very much and when I made my inVentory in March, I found
I had sent a little more than was due you so I took a few pencils etc.to make
it up. I will send the things and that willnsquare us unless they haVe been
. broken into, of course I can‘t tell until I see them. If there are any gone
' of couvse I will have to stand the loss and will do so.
I am very sorry this has happened but will try to make amends.
I You will heat from me as soon as I get myself placed in Chicago, where I go
Frifay night.
Very truly, ‘
