Biography / History
John Hunt Morgan (1825-1864) was a Confederate general and cavalry officer during the American Civil War. Born in Alabama, Morgan spent the majority of his life in Lexington, Kentucky.
Scope and Content
Broadside issued by John Hunt Morgan addressed to the people of Estelle [sic] and adjoining counties, announces that arms should be turned over and that those failing to do so will be considered enemies of the government. References "Bushwack-ers."
