Johnson said Wednesday
he was seeing one of his dreams
come true as he signed higher
education and vocational education bills providing $10 million
in aid to college students and
slum kids.
Johnson said his main dream

Dicky Lyons upped his rushing average and Stan Forston bettered
his passing marks in last week's win over Oregon State, according
to the recent UK football statistics.
Lyons, who was named Southeastern Conference "Back of The
Week" by the Associated Press, now has gained 253 yards in 80
carries for a 3.2 average. Lyons has scored seven touchdowns
this season to lead the SEC in scoring with 42 points.
Lyons' 73 points led the conference in scoring last season.
Lyons also increased his punt and kickoff return leads. The
senior tailback has returned 13 punts for 208 yards, a
average. Lyons has brought back the same number of kickoffs for 294
yards, a
average.
Forston Total Offense Leader
Forston's total offense lead has increased to 500 yards. Forston
has gained 442 yards through the air and has run for 58.
Forston has completed 33 of 85 passes for a 38.6 percent average.
He has thrown one touchdown pass and has had six intercepted.
Raynard Makin finally made the stats chart after being out the
first three games by virtue of a shoulder injury. Makin gained 63
yards in 16 carries for a 3.9 average, best on the team.
Phil Thompson held his
lead with two catches
against OSU. Thompson, a junior end from Louisville, has pulled
down 14 for 218 yards.
