- Biography / History
- Daniel R. Landis (1897-1974) and Ethel Chandler Landis (1904-1975) of Harrisonburg, Virginia, lived in Hazard, Perry County, Kentucky during the 1930s. They had one son, Richard (Dick) Landis. During the 1930s, Daniel Landis worked as a truck driver for a bakery.

- The Landis family photograph album (dated circa 1920s-1930s; 0.09 cubic feet; 1 box) consists of silver gelatin prints documenting the life of the Landis family in Virginia and Kentucky during the 1920s and 1930s. Many of the pictures depict Harrisonburg, Virginia, but several depict Hazard, Kentucky. Identified people include Daniel R. Landis, Ethel Chandler Landis, and their son Dick. Identified places include Woodbine Cemetery in Harrisonburg, Virginia; Hazard Ice and Storage Co. in Hazard, Kentucky; Newton Giant Incubators Corporation in Harrisonburg, Virginia; Wise Brothers Shirt Manufacturers in Baltimore, Maryland; and the Polarine Motor Oil Company.
