Collection Overview

Scope and Content
This is a collection of records and papers of the Kentucky Psychological Association. 61M12 consists of papers presented at Association meetings between 1942 and 1949. The authors were Dean Foster, John Kuiper, E. Ohmer Milton, Jr, Edward Newbury, Lester S. O'Bannon, Edward W. Rannells, E.H. Scofield, and E.C. Ziegler. Topics included the definition of intelligence, the ontology of consciousness, chronic military AWOLs, institutional behavior of inmates in a drug treatment center, selection of testers for testing alcoholic distillates for taste and other qualities, the nature of truth, and the relationship between aesthetic expression and learning. Unprocessed materials added to the collection in 1984 and 1985 are Association records dating from 1966 to 1983. They include correspondence, committee reports, newsletters, membership lists, minutes, etc.
