- The Bible was printed in New York by the American Bible Society in 1846. It belonged to Edward Prince and was a gift from his sister Ann. John Reid made entries into the Bible until 1863, concerning the fate of Edward Prince.
- Scope and Content
- Contains a Bible printed in New York by the American Bible Society in 1846. The inscription reads "Mr. Edward Prince from his affectionate sister Ann. Payson August 1849." Writing at the beginning of the Bible include notes by John Reid dealing with Prince's Civil War service in Mississippi. The last entry is dated June 13, 1863.
