The Garden Club Of Lexington held the February
meeting at the home of Mrs Waller Bullock,Mrs Walter
Hillenmeyer presideing in the absence of the Presiden
Mrs Law ill. Friday the thirteenth was World Day Of
Prayer and the Garden Club observed this dflV by ‘01 -
fine a shor period OI Prayer led by Mrs Davud Prewitt
Mrs Prewitt gave a short buttue “(metalk on Peace
and what universal Peace would mean to the world and
to each one ot us individually. She read the 33:1
psalm.and then asked us to bow our heads in silent
prayer.

Mrs Hillenmeyer called fur the minuetes of the
first half of the Annual mewting by the retireing
Recording secretary Hrs Spence Garrick and'then for
the minutes of the last half of the meeting with the
new of‘icers presiding..

Mrs Spence Garrick read a copV of the resolutions
she had written and sent to the family of our decease
member Mrs R L McDonald. She also read a letter of
thanks and appreciation from Mr McDonald and one from
Miss Harriet McDonald. Mrs dillenmeyer asked all thos

meeting to be held in Pittsbure New: the eleventh
to send in their names 10 the Pres ilent bV Narch the
first, The spring Garden Wour wlfi discussed and Hrs

The subject to be Fertilizers. Mrs Spence Garrick
distributed the pamphlets on Sphagnum Moss for seed

were present. Mrs Perry Hamilton the Program Chair-
man presented the speaker of the afternoon Mrs Henry
Graddy on seeds and seed planting. Mrs Graddy is
always one of our most delightful speakers and she
upheld her reputation as a speaker who always knows
